Component E-S with Tylan® is indicated for increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency in steers weighing 400 lbs. or more. Each implant dose is 9 pellets containing two hormones: 200 mg progesterone USP and 20 mg estradiol benzoate; plus 1 pellet containing 29 mg tylosin tartrate as a local antibacterial.

Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. Not to be used in animals intended for subsequent breeding, or in dairy animals.

Store in a refrigerator between 36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit or 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. 

Use before the expiration date printed on the foil pouch.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Load the implanter following the instructions supplied with each implanter. Restrain the animal with a squeeze chute and head restraint to increase the speed of implantation and keep the handler safe.
2. Prepare the implant site by scrubbing the back side of the ear with a clean piece of cotton that has been soaked in a topical germicidal solution. The full contents of one cartridge cell should be implanted beneath the skin on the back side of the middle one-third of the ear. The location for insertion of the needle is a point toward the tip of the ear at least a needle’s length away from the intended deposition site. Avoid injuring the large arteries, veins and cartilage of the ear.
3. With one hand, firmly grasp the ear. With the other hand, insert needle point through the skin and ease forward on a lateral plane until the entire length of the needle is under the skin. Squeeze the trigger fully and withdraw the implant gun.
4. Clean the implanter needle with alcohol or a properly diluted germicidal solution prior to implanting the next animal.
