Simply spritz your sidekick with the spray to help defend her from those bothersome unwanted visitors!

General Directions:

For Dogs & Puppies: The maximum application rate for this product is twice per month, and the second application must be made more than 8 days after the initial application.

For Cats & Kittens: The maximum application rate for this product is once per month.

Shake well before using.

For Fleas & Ticks: A light, even coverage of the haircoat will provide effective flea control. Do not allow spray from application or damp pet to come into contact with painted or finished surfaces, including wood floors/furniture, leather/vinyl materials, or other surfaces of concern. For best results, ruffle the coat while spraying against the natural lay of the hair. Cover pet's eyes with hand. With a firm, fast stroke, spray head, ears, and chest. If you see a tick, spray it directly. With cloth, rub on face around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then, spray the neck, middle, and hind quarters, finishing with legs and tail last. Avoid spraying rectum and genitals. For all pets, spray until damp, not saturated. Do not allow pets to become chilled. Repeat every month for continuous home flea and tick infestation prevention.

Recommended dosage: Note that the recommended dose is about 4 squeezes of the trigger sprayer per pound of body weight. Short-haired pets will need less; more spray may be needed for long-haired pets. In all cases, apply spray until the coat is damp, not saturated.

For mosquitoes: A light even coverage of the haircoat (as applied for flea control) will also provide effective repellency of mosquitoes.

Adams Plus Flea & Tick Spray is most effective when used as part of a total flea and tick management program. Use other Adams Plus products registered for residential premise control (carpets, upholstery, and pet bedding) of these pests in conjunction with this treatment. Monthly premise treatments are required for optimal control and prevention of fleas and ticks.

The successive feeding activity of fleas on pets may elicit a hypersensitivity skin disorder known as flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Treatment of pets with Adams Plus Flea & Tick Spray kills fleas and may reduce the incidence of this condition.

Precautions:  HAZARDS TO HUMANS: Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. May cause dermal sensitization (skin allergy). HAZARDS TO ANIMALS: Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, nursing, or ANIMALS on medication. Sensitivities may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Some cats may be sensitive to products containing pyrethrins. Excessive salivation and ear and paw licking may occur; however, these effects are temporary and not harmful. May cause dermal sensitization (skin allergy). HAZARDS TO ENVIRONMENT: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Storage: Do not store near heat or open flame. Store away from children and animals. Container handling: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill container. If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partially filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.
