INSTRUCTIONS

After disinfecting, make a small ¾-inch incision in the hide and use the stylet to pierce the wall of the rumen. Insert the trocar and screw into place. After insertion, the rumen should be pulled up close to the abdominal wall by placing a few wraps of gauze between the trocar plate and hide. After excess air has escaped, plug trocar to prevent foreign material from entering. Remove trocar when animal is no longer in danger of bloating. Sterilize trocar before and after use.
