Alpha-7 is the only vaccine of its kind, offering a single-dose, 7-way clostridial vaccine to minimize administration work and stress on the animal. For use in healthy susceptible beef and dairy cattle; there’s no milk withhold. When used in cattle 3 months of age or older, there’s no need for a booster due to its unique adjuvant that provides a longer duration of immunity. Alpha-7 protects against disease caused by Clostridium chauvoei (blackleg), Cl. septicum (malignant edema), Cl. novyi (black disease), Cl. sordellii (sord or gas gangrene) and Cl. perfringens (Types C & D) which can cause enterotoxemia and enteritis.

Species:  Beef and dairy cattle (lactating and non-lactating), 3 months of age or older

FEATURES / BENEFITS

The only single-dose clostridial vaccine; meaning less labor and time and minimized stress to the animals.

Can be used in pregnant/non-pregnant, lactating/non-lactating beef or dairy; no worrying about milk withhold or an ill-effect on a fetus.

SPECIFICATIONS

Contains antigens for Clostridium chauveoi, septicum, novyi, sordellii and perfringens (Types C & D) bacterin-toxoid in a gentamycin preservative.

Clostridial antigens create a strong immune response in cattle and protection against disease; this has been tested in direct challenge trials under actual feedlot conditions.
