Zoetis - INFORCETM 3, a new three-way respiratory cattle vaccine.

$18.74
Quantity

The intranasal vaccine offers unprecedented respiratory protection with the highest level of disease prevention available against bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV). INFORCE 3 also is labeled to aid in the prevention of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and parainfluenza type 3 (PI3).

In efficacy studies, all calves vaccinated with INFORCE 3 survived a severe BRSV challenge in which 95 percent of unvaccinated controls died.1,2 The studies also demonstrated that those calves vaccinated with INFORCE 3 showed fewer lung lesions and reduced viral shedding, indicating vaccinated calves are less likely to suffer from chronic BRSV disease and to transmit disease. Additionally, INFORCE 3 was shown to help prevent respiratory disease caused by IBR and PI3, and reduce IBR and PI3 viral shedding.3,4,5

INFORCE 3 helps provide protection in a 2 mL intranasal dose, with I mL given in each nostril.*

INFORCE 3 contains proprietary, temperature-sensitive IBR and PI3 strains, as well as naturally temperature-sensitive BRSV. This means that the vaccine strains grow only in the relatively cool nasal passages.

In addition to unmatched efficacy and demonstrated safety, INFORCE 3 comes in a new user-friendly package design. Multilingual icons developed specifically for the package allow for quick visual identification of approved uses and handling instructions. The package also offers a tear-off, pressure-sensitive label that includes lot information to assist in inventory control and record-keeping.

INFORCE 3 is available in four vial sizes: 1-dose, 10-dose, 25-dose and 50-dose. It is safe for beef and dairy cattle of all ages, including pregnant females and newborn calves.

Species: Beef and dairy cattle and calves of any age including pregnant animals

FEATURES / BENEFITS

The first vaccine of its kind to earn the rating for prevention of disease caused by BRSV means reduced mortality and infection rates especially in the most susceptible group, calves under 3 months of age.

Rapid immune response both locally and systemically for greater protection in an outbreak.

Creates a memory response to help animals deal with later challenges.

SPECIFICATIONS

For intranasal use only.

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

INSTRUCTIONS

Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine with the sterile diluent provided. Contents must be used immediately when rehydrated. Using a new nasal cannula or syringe with the needle removed for each animal place 1 ml in each nostril (2-ml dose per animal).

Calves vaccinated before 6 months of age should be revaccinated at 6 months of age to avoid possible maternal antibody interference with immunization.
